Landmarked & Historic Buildings
In an effort to protect NYC's historic character, the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) requires approval of alterations, demolition, or new construction affecting any building in a historic district.
NYC Department of Buildings
Owners of designated loft buildings are required to achieve compliance with the standards of safety and fire protection, and obtain certificate of occupancy for the residential portion of the building. LFA Architects achieved Loft Law compliance for two buildings on Prince Street in SoHo.
Energy Benchmarking & Building Upgrades
LFA Architects assists with energy benchmarking, enabling owners and property managers to track energy use and to achieve compliance with NYC Local Law 84 (LL84). The longer term goal is to identify and implement cost-effective energy saving measures.
